ABOUT US
Mojo Metalworks, founded in 2017 by Matthew Maher, is known for its expert craftsmanship across custom furniture and architectural metalwork. Based in Orlando, our shop works on residential and commercial projects, building strong relationships with designers, contractors, and clients who rely on our commitment to quality and attention to detail.
Matt’s love for fabrication started early in Winter Park, FL, working alongside his dad on custom car builds. After high school, he gained experience in residential construction and earned a degree in Interior Design from Seminole State College. His career in sculptural metalwork led him to develop his own artistic style, showcasing his work at festivals across Florida. In 2017, Matt launched Mojo Metalworks from his garage, and as the business grew, so did the scale and variety of projects.
A key part of that growth came with the addition of Andy Padilla, the shop’s Fabrication Manager. Andy brings years of hands-on experience and a practical, results-driven approach to every project. Together, Matt and Andy make a dynamic team, combining creative vision with technical expertise.
When not working, Matt enjoys fishing, mowing the lawn like a true dad, and spending time with his wife and two daughters, who continue to inspire his creativity.
We bridge the gap between design and construction with intentful metalwork that can become the focal point or backbone in any project. Easy doesn’t happen often when it comes to metal so we come prepared with a collaborative approach and an arsenal of tools.

THE hISTORY OF MOJO.
2017
2017 - The year of juggling part time jobs with full time metalwork out of a two car garage until the business grew an identity and purpose. This was the proving ground to myself that anything is possible with consistency and hard work.
2018
The first commercial warehouse space on Forsyth Rd. This was the All-In moment that committed myself to Mojo Metalworks and its future. 1,400 sqft was just enough space to fix, fabricate and create a multitude of projects while learning and connecting to a diverse network of clients.
2021
We moved to our current location in the Packing District (Obt/Princeton). The new shop space inspired creativity and collaboration among the mojo team on an array of projects. We also introduced new tooling and machines like our CNC plasma cutting table that increased our production and quality.
2022
Our collaboration with GDP Design Build highlighted the year with the completion of Moderne, Sampaguita and Haan Coffee in succession. The Mojo team unified to overcome challenges and deliver high quality custom metalwork with a positive attitude.
2023
Completion of the first Public Sculpture designed and built by Matthew Maher; “The Perspective” located at The Alexan Development on Fern Creek/Colonial in Orlando,FL. The Perspective stands 15’ in height with a colorful display of iridescent panels captured within three geometric steel frames that jut from the earth in a chaotic manner.

Mojo Metal Works has become a trusted custom metal shop, crafting everything from architectural pieces to public sculptures. We’re all about delivering creativity and quality in every project we take on. With the latest tools and a hard-working team, we keep pushing the limits of what we can build, always working closely with our clients to bring their ideas to life.
